Band
The GHBS Band Program is designed to teach students a musical
instrument so that they can praise the Lord and serve the Lord
throughout their entire lives. Their classes each week will
allow the Concert, Intermediate, and Beginning
bands to improve their musical abilities. We trust that many
students will be interested in this tremendous opportunity.
Because of the range of students in band, Mr. Halleck will
continue to have three different bands. Students in grades 7 - 12
are eligible for the GHBS Concert Band, which is for advanced
instrumentalists who have passed a series of tests. Intermediate Band
is for students in grades 5 - 12 who have had at least one year of
band experience. Beginning Band is opened for all students
in grades 4 - 12. All players are encouraged to take private lessons
in order to enhance their development.
The school office has
information concerning the rental and purchase of musical instruments
that makes starting to play an affordable possibility. This is an
excellent opportunity for someone to learn to play a musical
instrument and develop a talent as a means of serving the Lord.
